It happened on Erica’s 28th birthday during a quiet staycation in Amadeo. No one knew it was coming, not a single soul. That evening, as they enjoyed the music and after reading a letter from Enzo, he nervously proposed, shy and awkward like the high school boy she first met, even forgetting his punchline, yet she happily said yes.

Enzo secretly kept the engagement ring for months. He planned to propose earlier in a month that was special to them, but fate had other plans — her birthday ended up being the perfect time, the very same day he first gave Erica a promise ring back when he was still courting her.
